Thompson-Berry Mascots

Coaches,
We’d like to thank you for, again, allowing us to be your photo provider this year. We are very proud of our association with TBYS and Owensboro's own Strikers, and we are looking forward to picture day.

Concerning mascots

Last year, we really enjoyed seeing the players' expressions when they saw their mascots on the digital mats; so much so that we’d like to give the coaches more time to decide on using one and choosing their favorite. We are extending the deadline for choosing a mascot to Wednesday September 9th.
If you decide on a mascot, contact us on or before September 9th so we can get started on your products. If you're stumped for ideas, be sure and check our website. We have uploaded some examples from last season to help you decide. As always, you're welcome to call and we'd to be glad to help you in your design.

Again, thank you for helping to make Thompson-Berry a success and we look forward to hearing from you!

Finally...some good news!

July has, decidedly, been our most trying month ever. After being sent reeling by the catastrophic failure of our main computer, we suffered the loss of a cherished family member. VI would like to offer our gratitude to all those who sent their condolences and kept our family in prayer. While it is never easy to lose a loved one, your messages of support definitely served to soften the blow. Thank You!

Now for a few announcements

Our new computers have arrived and we are setting them up even as you read this. As soon as that process is complete, we will be processing and posting to visions-imagery.com.

We still have hundreds of photos from the Daviess County Lions Club Fair to process and upload. We are doing our best to finish the processing and hope to have the remainder of the photos uploaded by Saturday night.

VI has been named the exclusive photographer for coverage of the Owensboro Strikers Select Soccer Teams. We will be showcasing several new items specifically designed for and around the Strikers logo and the players themselves. We are EXTREMELY excited about this opportunity and hope that if you haven't watched a select team play, you'll come to a game and see what you're missing. Their level of dedication and sacrifice rivals that of professional players, and these folks play for the love of the game. So come out and support Owensboro's own Strikers and look for us there. We know you'll become a fan for life!

We are in the planning stages of giving our site a makeover, and we'd like your input. With our new look, we are researching ways to make our site more organized, user friendly and easier to navigate. Our customers are important to us, so anything that we can do to make your visit to our site more enjoyable, we'd like to hear it. If you have any suggestions or ideas you can call us at 270-993-5448 or email.

Thanks again for your patience and for choosing Visions Imagery!

In Memory of my Father, Hermond Midgette, Sr.

At 4:00PM July 23, 2009, my Dad was taken from us by cancer. The following was written by his daughter Karen Heath. Without a doubt, my Sister's insight best describes the kind of man our Father was, and how he would like to be remembered.

Remembering a Good and Faithful Servant – Our Father, Hermond

When you have some time – open your Bible and read the book of James. If you knew our father, then as you read, you’ll discover that Dad and James had many of the same characteristics. In chapter 1 - James seems so humble but yet he sure knew how to get his point across, and that was Dad too. We say humble because James did not say that he was the brother of Jesus, but that he was a servant of Jesus, like Dad. James could have made himself look good, but he put the emphasis on God and the Lord Jesus Christ from the get go. That’s how our Dad lived; a humble life – always turning the emphasis toward God in all he did.
For sure, that message is to all God’s people scattered all over the world but today this message is for you. Dad has always told us that it is all about putting the faith we confess with our words to match the way we act. This is where the “rubber meets the road” as Dad once put it. When we do this naturally we show evidence of Christ in our lives. We say "naturally" because Dad always told us that when it is “put on” people usually know and there comes the doubt. Dad taught us that if don’t pray, we will die to ourselves everyday - then we can’t take up our cross daily and truly follow Him and allow Him to use us to show others His love. Dad shared with us that he felt James wanted to expose our hypocritical sides and to teach us right Christ behavior as well as teach us about hardship, perseverance, and wisdom because Dad reminded us that James did not say "if" we face trials, but "when" we face them.
This reminds us of you, Dad, you have always told us that a bought lesson is a learned lesson – which means that we should always be thankful for the lesson we learned at any cost - because in the learning process, especially if it is a painful one - we also learn a priceless lesson- not to do that again because we already know the outcome and the consequences. Dad always told us that we will all have trials and we can benefit from them. It was hard for us to believe these words were true as we were growing up because we lacked maturity and our faith was weak – but now we appreciate the words Dad shared with us because we know that he was right. We are thankful Dad lovingly shared and passed on his wisdom to us. Dad said that our brother, James, is not necessarily telling us to be happy when we face pain, but to have a positive outlook and "consider it pure joy" because of what these trials can produce in our lives. He always told us to turn our hardships into times of learning because tough times can - if we let them - teach us perseverance – and now we know that is what Dad was teaching us too. Our Dad means so much to us all, and there is so much more to learn in the book of James and from how Dad lived his life.
Thanks Dad for loving the Lord, for being an honorable soldier as you fought for our freedom, and for being a loving and dedicated husband to our mother, Dorothy. Thank you for the love and friendship you gave unselfishly to your brothers and sisters, family and friends. You are our hero and our best friend. We give thanks to God for the unconditional love you gave us which we hold forever in our hearts. We say to you, Dad, “Well done – God’s good and faithful servant”.

From your ever-loving children,

Hermond Lewis Midgette, Jr, Michael Edward, Karen Suzette, and Timothy Bryan
